ICON ROLLS OUT iCMS 2.0 FOR
ONLINE WEB PUBLISHING
Advances in content management system gives greater
flexibility to customers

ARBOR, MICHIGAN, April 23, 2004 — ICON Creative
Technologies Group has launched the second major iteration
of its web-based content management system, with a host
of features that allows direct, online editing of commercial
web sites for corporate customers.
Upgraded features include a vastly improved WSYWIG (what
you see is what you get) editor that allows users to
create complex page layouts within the system, without
having any significant HTML training or web publishing
background. The improved interface supports multiple
languages, enhanced layout features as well as direct-code
editing controls for complete content adjustments over
time.
Other enhancements include publishing rights controls
that are both user-based and group-based, giving administrators
greater flexibility in assigning permissions and rights
to edit individual pages or entire categories of pages
throughout a site. The enhancement allows corporate
customers to assign editing tasks to multiple departments
or regions and limits potential errors or publishing
overlap.
iCMS 2.0 is completely web-based, requiring only a web
browser and an Internet connection for the end user.
The system allows large flexibility in web design, yet
can be tailored to institute specific corporate design
standards set in the original layout of the website.
