ICON RECEIVES WHITE-LIST RANKING
FROM AOL
Certification Facilitates continuing email distribution
system
ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN,
Jan. 12 2004 — Working with technician at AOL,
ICON Creative Technologies Group has reconfigured its
email operations to comply with AOL’s email policies,
placing it on the ISP’s “white list”
for authorized email recipients.
Engineers at ICON reconfigured
servers and outbound messages from its Email Marketing
Distribution System to comply with stringent requirements
on both content and server-information reporting. The
system change now allows ICON to send emails to most
ISPs without the potential of being reported or blocked
for SPAM.

hard with our customers to make sure their ongoing email
programs meet proper compliance, on everything from
unsubscribe and privacy policy links to the content
that is used in the email to begin with. Email can be
a very positive means of communication provided the
end recipient asked for the email to begin with, and
the message agrees with basic standards – both

ICON’s
email system allows customers to schedule, develop,
and monitor electronic distributions to the target audience
on a continuous and timely basis. The system also tracks
valuable information for individual campaigns and reports
the data through a web-based reporting template. Reports
pull information directly from the database, giving
administrative users a real-time look at cumulative
data at different points in time.
